^^thats like saying you listen to jazz music but hate coltrane, or like saying you listen to metal, but hate black sabbath.
anyway, making orange things is definitely his craziest shit. i think when it comes to his creative genius, his new stuff keeps getting better and better. i thought pink + green was his best work to date when it comes to programming, mixing etc. his orchestral stuff is intresting, but its definitely got room to improve.

Rossz is brilliant, but so is shiver. I voted Rossz. Never gave most of his other albums much time, to be honest.
Not on the list, but my absolute favorite has to be This Bitter Earth on the moonglow 7".

That's a little retarded. Ever since he threw a hissy fit and walked out at Glade this year, I've been pretty adamant he is a twat but that doesn't reflect on his music. Granted, I feel he is very over-rated as a producer of interesting music as a whole but his breaks and drum programming are unparalleled.

I listen to metal but I don't really like Sabbath.

I don't know, I think if someone is an asshole then it reflects pretty badly on their music, to me anyway.

I don't know, I'm not saying that I still respect his music in the same way as I did before. In fact, I barely listen to any Snares now. The point is, I still respect his abilities as a producer and I think to ignore what his has created would be a mistake. Lots of musicians in the past have been absolute wankers but are still respected musically.

I agree. His Bitter Earth track hit me like very few releases can and, even if he is pompous or whatever, the track doesn't hold any less relevance (for me, anyway). Same with the Rossz album. However, it does mean that I probably won't line his pockets by purchasing any of his new releases. There's way too many other talented producers out there who deserve my money. IMO, Xanopticon's material blows VS out of the water, and he seems to be a very down to earth person.

His split 12" with Eiterherd is still available, I believe, and that's a good one. Also, the Psicite 12" is killer. The Alembic EP consists of 4 remixes of his stuff and it is the best piece of wax I've heard all year.

I would say the same but I broke the other day (as I usually do in record stores) and bought his new one. If you liked Rossz then you'll like this one but if you play them back to back, they kinda sound like the same album.

I downloaded it awhile back and never got around to listening to it. I don't think I'd ever buy it though. I know how it is being in actual record store though, you see something in front of you and have to buy it. No stores around here anymore though.
Meanwhile, I'm about to purchase about $100 worth of records by talented artists that don't (figuratively) spit in your face.
