his breakcore was great, some of the best made, i don't like his recent stuff though.

after his first couple breakcore releases, i used to order his releases without even pre-listening to them, they were seriously that good, but that all ended... does he not do any breakcore at all now??

yeah, i didnt explain my point very well and i posted a second , but it disapeared.

i really like his new stuff, and i dont expect or ask him to write old style.
but i would like him not to ignore his past. ive seen countless interviews with him, where he avoids discussing the breakcore scene like the plague. this was breakcores best producer and he now has thousands of fans who dont even know this crazy, amazing music exisits.

its really only when him (and other proliffic artists) play live.
im not sure if its because im a rock fan, but you know i would be disapointed if i went to see bowie and he didnt play ziggy stardust, or if radiohead didnt play anything from the bends. people stoped going to bob dylans concerts because he refused to play his past....

the whole reason i started this topic was due to the fact i had herd from a promoter who had booked DTL to headline this month and didnt realised he had given up on breakcore. that night may end in tears...it may not.

No matter what people say, past, present, DTL, one thing he's always been consistent about was the fact that comes from a RAVE past, and that shows in everything he does. An unapologetic old raver. So i guess anything is game.

I've liked some of his dubstep, but i'm not too into his house dj, club guise. I prefer to listen to original house, or a banging dj Sneak set, rather than some "old skool" clubby house revival. Go for the real thing.

I like his clubby dj sets. Bootay shakin. Not lowest-common-denominator in the least. I wish more dance music dj's were that funky.

Really, doesn't this thread's message kind of divert from the supposed purpose of the label "breakcore"? Isn't this "genre" supposedly about doing what one wants creatively and not resting on one's laurels and cranking out the same noise as last year?

Gah his music videos and his newest music is really bland. His Breakcore era was so much more interesting, but as has already been stated I don't think he's really going to change producing the music he loves for the benefit of other people.

Luca DTL...does it really matter if he stopped doing breakcore or not? Sometimes people get bored and need to do something different.

Seemed like a douchbag in that breakcore documentary thing... whining about how anyone can make breakcore these days when he's only been around for about 5 minutes.

Can't say I care for most of his music, but the green 7" he put out a while back was good.

Dear Mr Lime
Eat shit with blood in it, breakcore is not dead just because you think it is and have decided to make house crap, and i am sorry but 'slowing things down so you can feel the bass' (or whatever coke-addled shite it was you spouted on that woeful documentary) does not maketh a good track
yours hatefully
Mr. Bleak
