the city i live in is basically made up of island hippies, old people, hipsters, and yuppies, a big percentage are university students
but dubstep is just exploding here, people like house and a few people are into harder dnb but no one really likes fast/hard shit, at least that i've found in the year i've been here
i fucking love breakcore and i wish i could meet someone else who does face to face

You in Victoria?

Ah right Victoria is well fit, been there a few times, and I fed those harbour seals that hang around by that fish and chips van at the harbour (marina?). Then I found this awesome record shop and bought loads of cds last time I was there, which granted was a few years ago. Was in Vancouver just a couple of months back though, got family there like. I was always led to believe that BC was a bit vacant of breakcore, my Canadian counterparts were telling me that the middle provinces were the only place to find it.

it makes sense that all the canadian breakcore is found in the middle provinces, since VSnares is from there

No one really gives a shit about breakcore in New Orleans. Come to think of it, nowhere in the US South does. Plenty of people here like dubstep, though, and there's apparently a small group of people who like dnb, but yeah, no breakcore and that sucks.

Yeah i run a bunch of gigs in belfast, breakcores only as dead as you decide to let it be, if you want to hear more breakcore, run more breakcore and play it out, as sad as it is, 90% of the population dont give a fuck about music, its just background to them getting drunk/making a dick outve themselves/getting laid, if you can put on a party with good music that people enjoy 90% percent of the time people will go just because its good fun

:)

this is completely true!
i live in a place called colchester which has a very apathetic music scene, but there seems to be quite a bit going on as there are some dedicated people here......no big ravey nights with late license though and the nights are sometimes poorly attended but everynow and then it goes well....

melt banana played here the other night with support from the abominable mr tinkler which was superb!!!
atari teenage riot are playing here next month too which'll be hularious!

i guess its a more arty approach, but hey, we're only round the corner from london.....

well, surely then this is michael, or oisin, if neither then there's LOADS of breakcore in belfast, cause that'd make it the third night I know of (the first and second being cerebro and freakshow (both awesome))
