Drop The Lime partition

Postby kvkvg » Fri Sep 28, 2007 4:12 pm

Hello good people.

How many of you are familier with drop the lime's early breakcore stuff?
he seems to making it big with his housy bass funky stuff these days and has appeared to abandon all connections to his breakcore past.

as i have said before on this forum, i think he is/was one the best and original hardcore producers on this planet, and i would go as far to say that at his most crazy, he can shit on 'snares.

Many people seem to get disapointed when they go to his shows and not hear brakcore, myself included.

i think we should use this topic as a partition, that we can eventually present to mr lime. asking him to consider his past and his older fans. to make him understand that some of us come to his shows to freak out to his spastic music, not groove on some house vibe.

maybe im wrong, or being disrespectful to the artist and his new direction, i do like his more mellow music. But for fucks sake! i need my harcore fix, as im sure many of you do too.

anyways, ill go first....

Dear Mr Lime,

I would like to express my sadness that you choose to no longer produce or perform breakcore. i was a fan of your music for many years and i still have not tired with you twisted fucked up breaks, in fact i want more.

Im sorry that their are not enough hot girls diggin breakcore, and im sorry that a breakcore fan nicked your laptop in 2006, but most of us are cool, and we would feed you as many pills as you like if you could take the time to satisfy our rabid needs.

Next time you come to play birmingham, please bring the 'core with you.
no matter how dancy you'll become you will never get a brummie to dance, they have too many chromosones to manage it. but if you lay down the filth, i will personally do the flamiingo. just for you.

many thanx,
Kramer vs kramer vs godilla

I'm sick of people giving him shit for taking a different direction with his music.

if you have access to the itunes store, you can buy some of his stuff. if your only interested in the breakcore stuff then get the "this means forever" album and buy the first two tracks off the "shot shot hearts" ep
you can also buy the track "reboostdumbo" from the drop name records compilation. and if you can find it, the "step it up" ep is killer.

i recomend all of his stuff really, his club music wipes the floor with most of his peers, but im pretty sure all that is going to be rammed down our necks
pretty soon.

i managed to get some unrealsed stuff off of soulseek way back in 2004, but soulseek aint what it used to be.

Absolutely not. Censorship has no place on this site. Mine and PEPCORE's posts have also disappeared. I will be taking the matter up with admin.

His first release on Ambush was imo his crowning glory. It's a shame he's never managed to match it.

I think Drop The Lime is (apart from maybe Ove Naxx) my favourite electronic artist at the moment, i dont think i dislike anything he's done.

Im not familiar with the order in which he released his ... releases, but i quite like them all.
