i played a show with baconhanger a couple years ago, and we gushed for hours about fruity loops. it seems it's far more popular in breakcore crowds than anything else. In detroit, you tell a techno head you use fruity and you're about to get a load of pretentious anti-fruity bullshit in your face.
i've been using fruity for quite sometime. probably since version 4? maybe before that? I've never used the stock synths or samples (except the sytrus when i need a really heavenly sounding pad or some weird noise. and the 3xosc for beepy stuff) and now, i've kind of expanded to where i pretty much just use fruity as a step sequencer or sampler for some shit, and i do everything else in other programs and lump all the pieces together in ableton and record the final track that way. which is pretty difficult, but i go about my music making process in a weird way.

ok, the track i put up, "sexual frustration" - 100% FL
as for dblue glitch, i barely use it because it's sound is too distinct
if used in moderation, and not set to random, it can be useful
its not what you use, its how you use it, and its not what you play, but how you play it
some people can make a fantastic dinner out of flour and eggs, other people just make a mess
know what i mean?
