Yo guys, I can write well and I like breakcore, I promote DJ and produce so give me a topic n i'll write on it BUT I would prefer to conduct interviews with established artists, I have some good contacts and can def get some good material.
I think getting people involved from different countries would benefit, getting a lot of different cultures opinions and views on the scene whilst broading the horizons for others etc.
Themes
- Up and coming
- Nights (global) reviews, promotion collabs?
- Reviews
- Artwork
- Interviews
- links section for production, sound systems etc
I Think it is a great idea and a project I would love to be involved with.

Aye i've been planning a few interviews for the Raston Warrior website, already got a fresh one with Tapage waiting on my hard drive, i'm sure he'd be happy for me to use it in a zine though, i'll check with him. Let's spam adverts around and get people to submit material if they like, what contact addresses shall we use?

First of all I think we would need some inclination as to what people want to read about as us lot just writing bollocks about the scene isnt really going to be that appealing and we maybe in danger of telling people what they already know which is a bit pointless.
First I think we should establish who's doing what so we aren't writing about the same things.
As an example though I can provide an in depth interview with a well known artist as to why they are not continuing with their record label and why they are going to be taking a break from perfoming live.
open to ideas.

I could be a typical pseudo-intellectual columnist and write about certain sociocultural aspects and influences, of and on breakcore, OR satirical bullshit album/artist reviews
It feels like we need to plan things out in a way that everyone is getting the same information at the same time.
Also, I like the idea of having different aesthetics for different sections

Yes and Yes
Greg > That interview sounds decent, get on it my son!
Iconochasm > Knock up a few articles over the next few weeks and send them our way. I'm going to start spamming mine and maidenchina's emails around the internet just so people have a focal point to send material to, then we can discuss what we've got to play with on here. Should be Ghandi dandy.

I think this is a wicked project and if we keep on top of it I think it will be well received.

I've started writing a big ass article titled: Idealism, politics and the presumed death of Breakcore (including a very brief history of the music)
I'm kicking the shit right here guys. PS Anybody know a link to that rather notorious C8 thread in which that guy laid down a pretty concise history of Breakcore?
