so,

how do u go about managing your samples?

i've got a good amount of folders, vaguely arranged, and have kept the structure of diy samplepacks fished from the web.

i feel i really have to start skipping thru them, get rid of those that are of no use to me and, ultimately, make a library that is easily accessible and memorisable (good to know exactly where to find what when you want it, right?)

i can handle arranging the basics (synths-stabs/loops/drumhits etc.) but was wondering how peeps here manage their weird, hard-to-name stuff. (speech, oneshots ripped from tracks, fart recordings etc.)

iv got mine semi organized but theres one folder called "new" that has like half my stuff and its completely unorganized haha

I begin with ig categories like, vocals, drums, breaks, FX
and in those categories I take what kind of 'category' it fits, that works fine to me.
