Does anyone know of a certain sample heard in drum and bass-
I've been trying to find this sample I keep hearing in some drum and bass tracks that seems pretty popular. It sounds like "heya!"
It can be found in the venetian snares track "Martys Tardis" at around 3:20. 3:26 is a good place to hear it.

i think that the thing you're looking for is a part of a breakbeat called "think" you can find it in many sample pack, such as the one called "Desimal dnbsamples break"
here's some preview, tell me if it's realy what you're looking for :

Awesome break. yep, it's the 2nd break from the Lyn Collins "Think" breaks. That's also the bar that has the best snare in it (towards the end).
here's the first time I ever heard it:

and here's another classic use of that break:

they're all the same sample man... it's from a song called "Think" by Lyn Collins, the thing is that the sample is pitched & speeded up so it sound in another way.
look for the desimal break pack and you'll find it.
