I dont understand peoples obsession with labelling stuff.Mate it is what it is.Surely "Breakcore" is a broad enough genre,or do you need it to be this, that and the other -core(actually that sounds pretty good).Dont mean to sound like a prick, anyone know what im saying?

I agree. I mean, why bother trying to make music similar to another artist when you can set your own rules and tastes down from the get go. As a pervert would say: "as long as its got a back bone......"
****Fact into doubt doesnt go. Its not scientifically proven, but it IS fact****

well its not so much that as that when I tell people about my music they always ask what subgenre of breakbeat I fit into.
But yes i suppose breakcore is a bit of an umbrella term

When people ask what I listen to or what kind of music I write I tell them "electronic music" and leave it at that.
Most people I talk to here in the U.S. don't have a clue about electronic music or any of its genres so it's just painful to try and explain it to them.
People always try to relate new things to things they already know as a way to understand them. And sadly, here in the U.S. people often try to equate electronic music with Technotronic or some equally horrible crap that actually got some radio play.
