Sustained Records is a new label for cutting edge and experimental drum and bass. Our aim is to bring you some of the most innovative and hardcore producers the scene has to offer whilst supporting eco-activists by donating 10% of our profit to environmental causes. After a long wait the first release is out now with full artwork.

A side – The Teknoist – Theres nothing here for you

The Teknoist delivers some truly brutal beats for SSTD001. He is known for his highly energetic live performances and blistering production skills. He is the Ninja Columbo Head Honcho and has had releases on Planet-Mu, Ad Noiseam, Deathchant, Rebel Scum and Pacemaker.

‘Theres nothing here for you’ is a hardcore drum n bass track that sets the standard for producers trying to create a unique sound within the confines of drum n bass. The kick drums stab at your insides like a serial killer with a fetish for holes in a torso and the bass line is so heavy it puts the Richter scale to shame. This is an excellent example of the core n bass sound Sustained Records will be pushing in the future.

B side – Throttler – I don’t dance

Throttler who hails from Athens is at the forefront of Greek Drum n Bass. He has had releases on Nasdia, Intellectual Violence, KTR-Xt, Spectraliquid, Throat Cutterz and Killing Sheep Records. With top class productions skills Throttler is tearing the scene apart and putting it back together in his own unique way.

His ferocious kick drum medley ‘I Don’t Dance’ starts with an ominous build up that sets the foundations for a full on audio assault. He uses the kick drums and atmospherics to switch between different emotions in an instant whilst maintaining a fluid yet highly edited sound. The half speed breaks add depth to the track without stopping the brutal onslaught that, despite the name, will do nothing but get a crowd dancing.
