i have already posted an 'about you'
but things have changed for me since i wrote that
so here we go...
hello, my name is matt bleak..
i make breakcore, speedcore, noise and stuff - been doing it since 2002..
before that i was known as a graffiti writer in my hometown of melbourne where i wrote the tags NEMO and NEMESIS for some of the biggest crews in melbourne including CW, KSA, PBP, STR and others too...i still have extensive contact with the graffiti / hip hop world here in australia (and elsewhere too!) and am currently helping add to a book about melbourne graffiti that is being written by the world famous graffiti artist PUZLE of WCA and DMA crew..my part in the book is minimal - just helping a writer named SPUD with the section about 2 of the crews i was / am in : CW and STR, but yeah! as well as graffiti i also had / have contact with several rappers, and i have worked on tracks with the melbourne rappers BREN L4 / Klassy Bros and have some stuff coming up with them soon..as well as maybe something with Phrase, and (believe it or not!) internationally known R&B singer from Melbourne Daniel Merriweather, so yeah - i am not the reclusive internet nerd a lot of people try to paint me as - and if you do not believe me about the Daniel Merriweather connection then check my myspace comments (might take you some time as i get quite a few but its there!) to see the personal comment he left me. i hope people don't think i am bragging or pulling rank on y'all but that much shit has been talked about me by people who really need 2 STFU before they get their caps peeled...well maybe not - cos, i don't play like that no more, but yeah i would just like to clear the air
and yeah - i do have a shady past, as do most people who were GENUINELY a part of hip hop culture down here in the late 80s to the mid 90s...i have been in prison several times beginning with sentences for graffiti related crime and towards the end of my 'career' (LOL!) for some quite serious shit including armed robbery...not that this makes me a tough guy or anything but hey - i don't see why i should have to hide this shit OR be ashamed of it...not saying i am proud of having a criminal background but hey - i am just kicking some reality about who i am!
my criminal 'career' came to an end when i was released from prison in 2002 after serving 3 years...i got out to a cool job working a couple of nights a week at a wholesale organic market. this was organized for me by members of the melbourne anarchist black cross group - a prison abolition group i had been in contact with in prison...oh yeah, whilst in prison i also contributed several articles about prison issues to the anarchist black cross melbourne bulletins and wrote for and compiled a poetry anthology called 'behind the razor wire'. i stayed at the market and continued doing stuff for the abcm for a couple of years, and had also started making breakcore / digital hardcore type stuff...i used to post on the 'riot sounds' group on yahoo and also the 'DHC producers' group on myspace...martin aka Babylon Disco interviewed me for his website and also hosted a few of my tracks there (this would have been 03 or 04 if i remember correctly!), i also did a couple of radio sets on local community radio 3CR... then i hit a few hiccups / hurdles re: drugs and falling in with some kinda dodgy old acquaintances
luckily i rose above it with some help from friends, and ended up working full time as a surveyor's assistant on building sites and whatnot. this was also when i got right into music production...so yeah i lasted at that job for a year until i ran into similar problems with drugs and dodgy associations and spent a year in limbo and without a laptop..EEP! but finally got my shit together somewhat and became a part of the random stabbings productions crew...not gonna go into any great detail with what happened there but lets just say that i am no longer associated with that crew - i gained a lot of knowledge and contacts from that association for which i am always gonna be grateful - but yeah! i have pretty much turned my back on most of the so-called 'scene' here in melbourne and am now firmly back with my old grafitti hip hop crew - these people are not into gossip, backstabbing, shit-talking and stupid mind games and offer REAL strength / support when needed..they are my homies dammit so 4Q
i am still in contact though with the people who i consider to be the real breakcore and hardcore peeps both in melbourne and in this country (and around the world!) : these people know who they are already so i don't need to give them props, and they have the full support of both myself and my homies...these other peeps who wanna talk shit and run around trying to start wars, well i just at u cos i don't need to do anything...i'm no hippy but i believe in karma - and i have seen what happens to people when bad karma comes knocking, it's not nice!
i also have a net-label now : NIGHT TERROR RECORDINGS which is on its way to becoming an actual label (5 releases already!!), it now has webspace, just waiting on me to get settled in to my new house and then it will be up and running...but yeah - that is me
was only gonna write a couple of sentences of random crap, but i thought this forum is kinda cool and a lot of people check it out nowadays - i have been a bit of a dick on here in the past, allowing my mental state to interfere with my posting etcetera, so thought i would give you all the real deal about me, matt bleak - uncensored / unembellished, hehehe!

Hey. Another fucking aussie who enjoys the harder styles of music. I guess the main facts about me are that I am married and have a four year old daughter. I have recently retired from the role of housewife to work in a preschool (with four year olds - totally illogical). Beyond this, I'm pretty fucking boring (oh, and I swear a lot when there are no children around).

shit, ive just realised that i have never introduced myself propellerly...how rude. here are some facts:
hello... my name is kvkvg, which is short for kramer vs kramer vs godzilla. i paint, make films and music..
i was born in bristol 1981, i have collected records since 1988. my first being 'lovesexy' by prince. it taught me everything i know about fucking, when i was 15 i lost my virginity...thanx prince.
i have caught meningitis twice in my lifetime. i have managed to survive both bouts with no lasting effects. but i cant help the feeling that i am on borrowed time...
at 11 i was moved from bristol to the countryside. around the same time, bristol had become the coolest city in the world, and i had to watch form the sidelines as i smoked bad soap bar and drank cider with inbread country bumpkins. its a pain i carry with me every day...
at the age of 17 i had to make the desicion to either become a professional rugby player, or go to art school. i had already discoverd they joys of narcotics so i kicked the ball into touch and donned my pretentious beret...
by the time i had hit the second year of my degree i had come to the conclusion that art was a bit shit. i conned my university into thinking i was dyslexic, got a free computer and started to make tunes.
i love most types of music (im cuurently listening to simply red) but breakcore is the last type to really excite me. i used to enjoy dancing like a spastic, untill the day i accadently headbutted a girl at a drop the lime gig in berlin. now im more careful.
my favorite bands of all time are captin beefheart, dEUS, the birthday party and radiohead.
my favorite film is currently 'even dwarfs started small'
in 2007 i brought out my first record called 'we are fun ra' on brainsodmy recordings. which was based on my experences with synaesthesia.
i will probally never make a decent record.
