I don't use ableton but I always use buffer override. Can't beat it for a quick way of fucking stuff up at the twist of a nob.

I'll have to check out buffer override!
Not heard of it before, is it an effect or like a standalone?
I use ableton with loads of key assigned fx, I need to get a midi controller really cos its quite hard to twiddle the nobs using a laptop mouse.
I'm thinking of getting a wii gun or somesort of joystick.

I use instajungle, dblue glitch for distortion and filtering etc., and for use on melodies, daft funk for fuckoff cool sounds. That's about it, really.

I use all this on Cubase, which is pretty much a bad idea, but i can't use anything else lol.

I also need a midi controller =P
Shut up fag.

use flanger during your whole set, it makes it sound cool.

i myself don't use fx live, i pretty mush just mix it in and out, everything i needed to do with the track has already have the fx it needs.

just get a decent eq plugin and a filter plugin.

reaktor is ace for playing live

the key thing i guess is to have lots of toggle (like mpd pad or keyboard key) to toggle lots of different loop
I'm not to much in fucking things with automated plugin : most of the time it end souding totally random...
