The fine line btween Jungle & Breakcore

Postby cornishacid » Thu May 08, 2008 8:21 pm

Basically im looking for anything that sits on the fence between jungle and breakcore - stuf thats regular and fairly easy to dance to as well as being hectic. stuff like dj hidden, bong-ra etc, im helping to organise a clubnight in a town that knows not the ways of the filth so i need stuff they can dance to. :P

Thanks man, got some enduser and panacea, theyre fucking amazing. Havent hear aphasic and the dj scud stuff i heard is too full on. Ive been playing stuff like ed cox, the more acessible squarepusher tracks, panacea, aaron spectre, duran duran duran. cant help but find it funny that im looking for acessible breakcore.

Where are you from mr Djtheblade? I think i might have come across you on myspace before. or maybe on the wrong music forum? :?:

I used to post on the wrong music forum but I think it's gone downhill a lot, completely lost momentum. I'm also on myspace too. Could be from anywhere.

parasite.
soundmerderer
some of debaser's stuff is quite in the middle
0=0
general malice
sumone
16 arm jack
stivs
just most of the "new" jungle producers are making stuff thats barley still jungle.

depends on your oppinion of what qualifies as "breakcore".
or jungle for that matter.

c64 does mixes like that.

Shitmat seems to do stuff on the line between jungle and breakcore.

speaking first hand, shitmats stuff off killababylonkutz is GUARANTEED dancefloor mashup action.

definitely soundmurderer... telembodanustyle or dreader than dread are staples in my sets...

one particular track that gets everyone going is crazyhypershit by Soundbites. Absolutely love that track.

Bong-Ra as well, esecially "hello my cock is an aardvark"

edit: just realised those last 2 are not even vaguely jungle, but danceable breakcore nonetheless...
