Has anyone ever tried using making waves? its pretty basic, but theres the little things like the ability to disable fixed tempo, and beat splicing is a sinch.

currently i use Live almost exclusivly but sometimes i just feel like im not able to get an idea from my head into it. its truly an amazing piece of kit but sometimes it feels like there's something missing in the chain so to speak
im playing around with renoise as well but a combination of the above problem and that i just find trackers so damn wierd to use is not helping

For the most part I use FL 4 for basic sequencing. Soundforge for editing stuff, and Logic for a couple of the synths and mixing/mastering. For sounds I use loads of synths and effects I built in Reaktor 5.1. Loads of recorded sounds with an olympus recorder box. I have a couple vsts i use sometimes, absynth/pro 53 etc. But for the most part just Reaktor and FL. I have a strong dislike for random mash things like dblue glitch and buffer override. When I cant be arsed with computers I play around with tape loops on an old 4 track recorder or make some daft tune on music 2000 on PS

I use a rather quaint vintage piece of software called Logic 6 platinum! Use max/msp for some sound design, making synths and live stuff.

by music making wants stretch outside of just breakcore/dirtymashcore and it coveres most of the bases i need
thankfully i gots me the education discount (what with my being a dirty student) so it cost me considerably less than it would otherwise have
