aphex twins endless list of remixes!

I am a huge fan of Aphex twin but i've never seen so many remixes of the same songs over and over again. I know for a fact that he only released about 50% of his music, so i know there was no lack of creativity, it's just that i'm clueless as to why there where so many remixes!

They're probably unreleased (and going to stay that way) due to a lack of sample clearance.
