Breakcore Player

This topic is to discuss the newest feature of the site the "Breakcore Player" Note the blatent rip off of the slayer logo. (and yeah I know the transparency sucks on it...)

I intend to make a nice bbcode function so users in the forum can post popups to there tracks and other mp3 related spam. I also have added it to the download section, so users can preview the tracks before they download them.

I would like to make it so EVENTUALLY users can upload tracks to the User Tracks Section directly from the forum, thus creating a topic/discussion automaticly... This make take a while, but its definitly in the idea box for now.

Got any ideas? bug reports? bitching?

With a bit of work, and some coding, I give you the breakcore player BBcode tag. Now when you post links tracks, you can simply use this code, and let them stream it right from the site. Enjoy.

I intend to make it a bit more user friendly, maybe add a little button, and all that crap... but not right this second.

Example, and Test of "[player]" BBcode tag :

[player=http://www.modeofproof.com/mp3s/live/xanopticon_5_29_04.mp3]Xanopticon Live - 5.29.04[/player]

usage : [player=mp3url]Artist - Name[/player]
urls may NOT contain parenthesis () or some other symbols, try to limit your Mp3s to ASCII

Instead of typing in a name for the mp3, much like the url link function

That it is. I wanted to bump this thread for people like me who don't realize you can use the linking functionality.


One question tho... is there a way I can get some "Breakcore Radio" action or do I just have to refresh the page for a new random user track to stream?
