I have problem with constructing goodtuned breaks. I dont wanna use rapid breakbid drumloops, this is too easy. Main problem is to find good snares samples, and equalize it to be sizzle and crunchy. I need good hats and crashes to make background noise. Its hard to hear how BC producers sequence them but i think there is some key. I need some tips and snares links

i hate reason 4 by the way. im all about reason 3 and its simple ass sequencer. i think the software you use definitely effects your sound, especially if you use built in sounds. thats why for my stuff, i chop everything in audacity (free program) and layer sounds in reason. every song i make, i build an "instrument" if you will, and then play it via the sequencer. im not into the whole vst/tracker/chopping breaks thing, which is probably why my stuff doesnt sound like a lot of european bcore.

MY DAW IS BETTER THAN YOUR DAW!
\((( "D )))/ Yay clouds! ☁ ☁ ☁ ☁ ☁
Doesn`t metter, what sequencer u use, just download some amen loops, slice em up, add some distortion, compressor, and than make a fuckin crazy piece of art from pieces of amen. And never use default synths from any fuckin host application, there are hundreds of free vst-instruments, they`re all yours)) Yee, and don`t forget about gabber kicks)))

this.
when i first discovered breakcore it was like finding a haven for fellow attention deficit disorder patients who try to make music. though at the time i think that was also influenced by the post rave crap so most of the breakcore i heard was like happy hardcore took a bunch of acid and went on a rampage. over time i've realized that it encompasses such a vast array of sounds that telling someone a "formula" for breakcore is almost impossible. listen to stuff. try to figure out what kinda sounds they do that you like and imagine how it's being done. throw some sounds together somehow, and call it a day.
and really, formulaic music is for douchebags. if you're asking for a formula you gotta ask yourself what kind of artist you're trying to be.
