one of my first cassettes when i was 8 years old. definitely old school for us born in the 80s.
my very fist cassette - 'go' by moby
i'm proud of that it's a classic ( I hate every single other track he ever did / will do )
I miss tapes...all my first rave and DnB was on dodgy second generation copies - it suited the sound perfectly.
Also people made more of an effort when listening to tapes, I mean when listening to cds and mp3s i sometimes skip a track if the intro doesnt grab me...and i often find it's the tracks that you skip that turn out to be the best.
Also as a child i liked the pet shop boys...proving that gay electronica is in my blood
what a long post...all i wanted to say was micheal jackson sux...
and i was at school when i first dropped acid....we brits are fckn hardcore and start young

YESSS! I got the cassette for my eighth birthday and loved it so much I saved my allowance to buy the record, which I hung on my wall because I didn't have a record player. It's as amazing now as it was 25 years ago.

Dude. Thriller is more old school than the dried cum stains on your keyboard derived from years of jerking off to The Flashbulb and Venetian Snares... but that's ok, I'm aware that not everyone knows or appreciates good music.

no dummy, micheal jackson is old and spends a lot of time in a parked limo outside elementary schools. therefore completely relevant to this thread =)
