But if you're asking for illegal mp3 downloads, you've got to be kidding - on a site full of struggling producers and artists?
yeah, you best not be asking that

Struggling??? You better say that again...
cuz if we as a crew where not in a struggling position, such a question would not even come up...
Are you more “struggling” then a crew who tries to spread music in freaking Lebanon? No paypay works here, every cover with dark art is confiscated at the airport and the recipient is asked for questioning...where you can easily be accused of "dealing with the enemy" if they find 0.1% of a clue like an Israeli surname or something...
We wait until someone goes to Europe in order to collect some music…. What about those million sets online, mixed by different people…are they also struggling?
Yo guys, if you wanna make a drama about it…I have the FULL REAL FACTS to be one…so if you feel you can be helpful pls do…or let’s all struggle…

yo this is kinda what i was on about in the 3 posts thread but couldn't manage to articulate properly, actually it is more than 'kinda' it is a prime example!!...here we have somebody from the lebanese breakcore community asking for some help in obtaining free music as it is very hard to find extreme / dark styles in a country such as theirs plus the other problems mentioned by Kaotik Crew and what do they get? a lot of smart ass wise-cracks...it is really fucked up...even if the responses were meant to be light-hearted or amusing...i think if i was in lebanon and just wanted to hear some fucken breakcore instead of civil strife, political interference by other countries, car bombs, assassinations and aerial bombardment and all i got was a load of 'ironic humor' i would be pretty fucken pissed.
this link is good also Kaotik Crew...

cheers & greets from australia~
PS : i have come across Kaotik Crew in the cyber wastelands before, thats how i knew it wasn't some 'ironic' person pretending to be from beirut / lebanon!

i second that, that site is heavy!
no-one can manage to buy all the music they want- downloading most of it and buying when you can is surely ok? this is a board for discussion, and as these places do exist to get music you may as well not have a problem posting them up and then letting other people decide for themselves their moral issues over it. Anyway, lots of releases sell out and its good for that too.

Maybe for you yes, but for the producers you are ripping off it's probably not. Downloading occasionally, fine if you are checking out something new but I know a lot of people who only download music. This has been round for ages though. People have always copied tapes or CDs for mates and such. The thing which pisses me off now though with the invention of CD decks and MP3s is people playing other people's shit which they haven't even bothered to pay for. Fine, download for your own personal use, but don't then use it for personal gain. That's just rude.
And it's best not to post filesharing websites on forums. I know some that have got in trouble over this and that's just a pain.
