mpd is a great quality choice, just make sure youre ok with knobs that dont have a begining and end, sliders and pads are great

Hail !

I suggest you the mpd, I use it for live set since 2 years and it's I think it's a perfect midi controler : good quality, you can put it in a bag easily.

You can check my live videos on youtube if you want to see it in action ;-)

i have a novation sl 25 but its not the newest one with light up shit and such, its a little confusing sometimes trying to set some of the parameters with certian knobs but it is incredibly versitile.

i was lucky enough to find a used one for $150 and its great, has just about everything you could ask for, 16 knobs, 8 endless, 8 finite, each with 2 buttons to accompany them, a set of pads, (not too comfortable pads tho) 8 sliders with two buttons to accompany each, a nice little kaos pad type thing and 25 semi-weighted keys with octave change controls (so you can map things to keys in different octaves, good for lots of samples)

with this thing i really dont see the need to get another controller, feels like pretty good quality as well

so if you can afford it i would recommend it, just know the pads arent great, but you have the keys to suffice

good luck on your search :D
