Circuit bending
Hey, I'm collecting al sorts of hardware to make some cicruit bending equipment.
I've read some stuff on the internet, but I'm not sure what to use.
I have an multi FX pedal, which I'm going to cut up, an old radio a computer mouse which I want to use, and I've got 2 sets of old speakers.
I think I'm going to cut them all up and them combine them in 2 maybe 2 wooden boxes with some knobs and stuff on them connecting them together.
Any tips for me besides that I should use battery powered stuff?
My main questions, How do I get the sound it makes, on my computer?
I was thinking recording it with a mic, but maybe I can make an output on them.
Anyways, I'm looking for the easiest way, I'll try more difficult stuff later.
Anypeople who made cicruit bending stuff themselves who want to share info?
I'll keep you posted with results.

I got a few circuit bent furbys i did a while back..
best thing to do its just play.. get a bit of wire and short it out from every point, see what noise it make, note downt he ones you like.. solder on some pots or switches etc..
get a bunch of cheap electic toys for car boot sales etc.. so it dont matter too much if youv fucked it.
you can also add a jack output from the speaker > that way you can stick it on a loop peddel or whatever.
(i wouldnt suggest anything that has a plug! TZZZZZzzzzZZzZzzzz!!)

Just go to second hand shops and buy crap from there.
That's what I did, found some pretty nice stuff, but haven't finished anything yet.

\((( "D )))/ Yay clouds! ☁ ☁ ☁ ☁ ☁
I've recently been doing a lot of circuit bending my self, and its way easier than it seems.
Just got to radioshack, pick up some of these
Then open up your toy and start connecting the clips to different points on solder points on the circuit board.
Then once you find something strange, Get some potentiometer, switches and buttons, also from radioshack, and connect them to each point to see what happens.
Then to add your own audio outputs, just get a female audio jack, and find where the wire connects to the speaker in the toy, and just solder your cord to the two points connecting to the speaker. You'll probably have to experiment to figure out which wires to connect to what side.
Heres a couple I've done.

anyone has experience with Yamaha RX11? it seems unusable piece of crap from da' old days without some bending and/or distortion. is it bendable, or just junk?

LOL. i knew that picture a few posts up was a casio sk1 just by looking at it hahah
circuit bending is easy shit. it's not for hardcore nerds, it's just not for people who don't understand BASIC electronics.
the RX11... open it up and test the board out, ya lazy fuck! what's the point of circuit bending if you're gonna look off some stupid diagram someone else did? the whole point is to make it personal.
