Whats all your opinion on midi controllers, im using ableton live. I am just starting just wondering what controllers are tight as fuck.

Ableton 8 comes out soon and also a midi controller made just for it.

i normally use a trigger finger and a wiimote with ableton when i play out cuz that works for me... imo it's a matter of creating a template and figuring out how you want to control the data you put into it, using what you have or getting what you need after some homework. just picked up a ps3 blue-ray remote today (liquidation sale, real cheap!) to use as a transport control, among other things. lots of buttons on it, all of which can be mapped 8) but if you've got the cash, yeah that akai controller that's coming out soon looks pretty sweet... it's appears to be really programmable, like a monome but with more shit to play with.
