Postby Barnum » Mon May 21, 2007 7:56 am

Does any one knows some good links for good Punk Heavy metal Guitar loops, and some very violent terror kicks?

I have some double bass kicks if thats what your looking for. I might have some guitar samples banging around on my comp too. I just gotta sort through em and see what all sorta guitar stuff I got.

There is an alternative to using sampled guitar riffs. Have you heard of the slayer vst? if you do it right you can make some pretty impressive sounding stuff.

Info : Here
Example : Demur - Vile

At first I HATED the sound of slayer... but it grew on me. I recomend Slayer, over Slayer 2. The synth seems to sound dirtier.

It's kinda a pain in the ass to get to sound right, but after some fooling around you can get some badass noise out of it.

you could always go onto metal guitar forums (e.g. www.metaltabs.com, www.riversofgore.com ) and look around for riffs that people have recorded and put up (obviously ask permission first lol). The more serious guitarists often have means to record to a decent standard, and that way its more likely that youll get some proper brutal riffs, rather than just off some loop site where (I'm guessing) they won't be all that great.

Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr you could learn guitar :P . Somewhat more time consuming, but definitely more fun...
