I use Triforce, I love it.
Simple and has a nice arp built in.

peach is alright, has some nice presets, but i think triforce kills it though.

the "unknown 64" vst that is often found on the cover disc of Computer Music magazine is great..got some nice presets, interface is a little intimidating in my opinion though..too many numbers and stuff, not enuf knobs to tweak

free pwny ridez!

all chip synth is is your basic

square
[ ]

Triangle
/\

pilse
~

or saw tooth if you don't have pulse
/|/|/|

and noise

*&#*&#$%

you don't need a special synth to make these simple nostalgic sounds.

learn how to sound design with a simple fruity plugin like the 3xosc

shit is all envelopes and arps once you realize what to do with a chip synth.

try it out, ya have nothing to lose besides being lazy

I've made a plugin with synth edit. It's main purpose is to make those lofi sound, but it's not restricted to those. If anyone is interested, I might upload it somewhere again and post the link here. But then again it's nothing new among the 8-bit plugs.
