SliceX vs Fruity Slicer

Postby Drukqs » Fri Aug 28, 2009 4:06 am

Which do you prefer, and why?

EDIT: The question is mainly for you FL Studio users, by the way.

I use slicex. Simply because I'm used to it and i'm content with the things it does.

i don't feel the need for slicex, i much rather just use the fl slicer and if i need to mod my chops then i'll just clone the slicer and tweek it a bit eh!

I use both, but if i had to choose, it'd be SliceX handsdown

Only purely because of its simple GUI and indepth slicing capabilities.

Slicer for beats cause I don't give a FUCK.
Slicex for samples cause it is more ver-sa-TILE.

Fruity Slicer.

Slicex isn't bad, but it just seems unnecessary in my case.

i use flslicer for breaks and use slicex for samples i also sometimes chop up samples in recycle for reason and save them as rex files because the slices then work on my flslicer

The FL Version of SliceX is pretty versatile tbh, it has unlimited (or max number of mixer channels) for outputs (FL Only) etc.

I just find SliceX so much more versatile than FL standard slicer, so much so that I got the VST version and use it in Cubase.

With each articulation you can route and add FX on each one, although the VST is restricted to 2+1 main but thats even better than 1.

SliceX all the way for me. Does what it says on the tin and more.
