Most vst effects are done in the patterns(16), although when im making prolongued or intro effects, i tend to make effect patterns in the upper part.

I pretty much deal with everything in the clips section. All the beats are done there, unless I have to pitch a drum roll or something - then that goes to a pattern.

As far as effects go, I always throw a multiband compressor on the master, just as a limiter. Then reduce each track as needed to avoid clipping. Track 2 is where the hard kicks go, and there's lots of distortion and crap there, so I usually have to reduce that one quite a bit for everything to sound balanced.

I'm all over the patterns, but I guess I don't usually use breaks without slicing them up first. I want to see a screenshot of somebody's midi setup/programming/plugins - it's the one thing in FL I've never bothered using.

I do things lots of different ways.. here's a shot of the last track I posted up Amen Sister, this is mix 4 where the mix i posted was mix 2, a lot of the automation wasn't there before.

in this song fucks the breaks are in the patterns where they're clips in amen sis, so basically i just do things however it needs to be done at the time, lol
