I have heard a rumor....

Postby BOKO91 » Sun Oct 19, 2008 5:04 am

That Audacity has a record what you hear option allowing you to rip samples out of films and that are playing on your computer.

Is this true? can't find anything about it on the website. and as a mac user can't get adobe audition and can't find a similar program for mac.

Cheers

Don't you just press the 'record' button?

yeah, but make sure the recording volume is as low as possible, then boost the signal afterwards.

Apparently it's possible on a mac using quicktime pro. Failing that:

Hmmm, for me I just disc record the "Wut U Hear" channel on my soundcard and bam, there it is.. in full 24bit wav glory. I often use this to record a live midi jam or to get the skip sound effects from FL into the song.
