do your own thing, if you can make it sound good, than go for it. thats the thing about breakcore, you get to be creative and experiment

Yeah, try some 23/16 or something.

Haha, that would sound so messy.

nah, it's just two bars of 8 and a bar of 7 essentially :p

fun can be had by switching time sigs. i've done a track that alternates every bar between 7/4 and 4/4, sounds kinda interesting.

have a listen to frog pocket, dude is excellent at using interesting time sigs in the right place. he makes it sound so natural.

Lol, yeah. Or 1 bar of 5, 2 bars of 2, 1 bar of 7, 2 bars of 4, 1 bar of 1, 1 bar of 1, and 1 bar of 1...

:P

Anyone remember Mudvayne? They were one of the major Nu-Metal bands. Anyway, on their album "The End Of All Things To Come", the song "Trapped In The Wake Of A Dream" alternates between all kinds of time signatures. Sounds pretty sweet, but is nearly impossible to headbang to. :D

Same goes for Dillinger Escape Plan, especially the stuff on Miss Machine.
