so for you, I'd say Ableton Live.

as i understand it modplug is a tracker. most of the tracker heads on here vouch for ReNoise


essentially your question could boil down to "Do i use a tracker or do i use a more conventional sequencer"

personally i go for Ableton and i love it but do some research

I'm ending up getting ableton live 7 I used to use a TRACKER for a while but Im already learning how to use ableton and i find it a bit easier and faster.
