A Stupid Hypothetical Question...
Ok, say the Nazis uprised (again!) and marched into your town and told you that your not allowed to listen to any form of techno ever again (their evil knows no bounds) except for one artist/DJ....who would it be? WHO WOULD IT BE?
god im bored.

Not Alec Empire, because he's a sold out fogey arse candle. At one point I would have chosen him, although I'm going to chose Rocket From The Crypt as my survival music.

I know this is about techno but I would choose pavement for every situation.
Yes, those guys could even get my through the Nazi state. they made some sweet jams
If I was absolutely pushed I'd probably choose Snares, just for the amount and different styles

Fuck-a-duck, that's a hard question.
I don't know. I'd probably choose Aphex Twin or Squarepusher. For the vast amount of albums they have produced over the years.
I also like to think they'd keep you somewhat 'chilled out'.

The Destroyer is worth it for me, one of my favorite albums, I'm not even that bothered by the musical direction he's gone in since (except Golden Foretaste, that is REALLY gay) it's just the shite he spouts in his myspace blogs. I've had an argument with him in one of his blogs, he's deleted all my posts now heh. He's gone from being a supposed cyberpunk who is well in to his new age technology, to a sell out cry baby who wasn't even aware that his music was freely available all over the internet. How far behind are you if you don't even know you're albums are all over soulseek and torrents? The fact that he is 100% anti filesharing just adds insult to injury.
Ive had a few disagreements with him over his music recently and he doesnt take critism very well. He is very arrogant...but hey, if i was shagging Nic Endo id be one cocky bastard too!
Its a shame he went in that "direction" with his music because he is so tallented. Each of his albums has been great in its own way up until "The Futurist" which funny enough shows him going backwards with his music.

The Destroyer pre 2003 was the fucking don daddy. I don't rate his music these days as it hasn't really progressed much. However, he will continue to be one of the best live* sets on the planet.

Do you have any links to any of these pre 2003 sets that you can upload?

You can hear by the quality of his tunes released on Head fuck & Cunt Records that it was his best stuff.
