I thought another topic about where people where from, but it's where the best breakcore scene comes from
, really hard to tell, almost every country has good artists and probably scenes, since i'm not well known with all breakcore producers and parties.
I'm just gonna say Belgium or something.

It's a tough one. UK & Belguim for parties i reckon. France is pretty good for producers, as is UK & USA.
I couldn't possibly say!

Most of the parties advertised are in UK but i've seen them all over Europe. In fact the better ones (excluding SD, biased!) are in Europe, i think.

ih8brkcore.dotcom is owned by john merrick who is in maine, which is in the good 'ol USofA...
the northeast of the US [above New York and Pennsylvania] is basically considered "New England"...
man, didn't anyone study history?
as far as "best breakcore scene", it's a pretty hard call when your talking about THE ENTIRE WORLD...
there are scenes everywhere, but of course they vary is size...
europes had it the best, since it pretty much had most of the producers who have put out the "classics" of breakcore all live in europe...
europe also has it pretty sweet, since it's pretty much, right in the middle of everything and most people love to travel through there, since going from going country to country is only a couple of hours drive or train ride...
in the states, breakcore is marginalized in a way that most in europe do not see...
granted there are certain places that get decent events going [los angeles, seattle, san fransisco, nyc, philly, chicago, detroit], cause they are cities that have a centralized population. so it's easier for people to get together, but even then most people in the US don't even know what the hell "breakcore" is, let alone something like "dubstep", "drum n bass" or "speedcore", etc...
there are those like us at barcore who work hard to try and educate people over here, but it's hard to compete against regular "popular" things like: hip hop events [which are EVERYWHERE], college rock/indie/art rock/emo scenes, metal/pink scenes, raves, etc...
i can really only speak mostly about how it work here in nyc when it comes to throwing events. it's an uphill battle...
i've been to a bunch of places though [us east coast, west coast], canada, europe, etc.] and it's been really interesting to have seen scenes grow from squats and parties in dives, become events with 2000+ only years later, where here we're lucky to get 200 people in the door for a FREE party...
it's a turbulent scene to try and make work over here, but the barcore squad is always trying to make things work here and bring people from all over the world who don't play here. we wish we had more money, cause we would make some big events happen here, but we like the smaller personal events we've been throwing, cause it makes people [who never get to hear anything like this] realize a lot quicker how they've been missing out on something that is actually happening around the world...
but yah, i couldn't really answer your question, since i'm yet to make it to something like the kamikaze parties that the peace off guys do, or the wood parties, or the wasted parties, or bangface, i can't really say who has the "best breakcore scene", but having been to europe, played in europe and been to other places to see "breakcore parties" and i'm just kind of glad that there aren't too many people here that are that crazy about it [yet
], cause it gives us a lot more to work with and make happen. ESPECIALLY when bigger artists actually understand that the scene isn't big here and work with us to make it possible to bring them here and ensure that they get a proper forum to play...
it also helps when local artists are willing and able to work on things to help bring all the other local "breakcore scenes/producers/artists/etc" and also everyone and anyone they know outside of their local scene, together to make sure everyone who is involved gets to grow and contribute the "scene"...
christ, that fucking post sounds so lame. i hate the word "scene", it's the fucking GHEI...
but yah, i gotta get my ass to jersey in a minute to go see bit shifter, starkey, vytear and a bunch of others, it's in the events forum. barcore is sponsoring and it should be a fucking hooooooooot!!!

From what i've observed, the UK seems to have the greatest number of small/localised events, although some of the big big big anual events take place on the continent, typically Belgium and Holland, but also France and Poland are supposed to be the blade.
