Hi,

I've recently set up a new netlabel called the Poorhouse.

I'm putting out a couple of comps...

One will be a lo-bit comp - 20kbps tracks

The other has no criteria - breakcore, hardcore, gabba, chiptune whatever..

It's not a promotion! How can it be a promotion when it's a free label?

Reasons for 20Kbps comp...

1) I'm sick of false 'lo bit' artists (example - those who make 'chiptune' music in FL studio with VSTs rather than with actual hardware). They still want their music to sound polished... go the whole hog and be totally no-fi. Good music will still sound good at 20Kbps (the lowest available bit rate I believe?).

2) 20Kbps encoding sounds good.

3) When artists are limited, interesting results happen

4) I'm bored.

5) It confuses people.

PS. Who exactly is Babylon Disco? What a shit name.
