Kanye West - 808s and heart breaks
i don't give a fuck if you dislike kanye west, this album is pretty good, it's worth checking out.
his ego is kind of annoying but this album makes up for it.
i suggest you kids check it out

His ego doesn't even bother me, honestly. He can back that shit up.
I've always really liked his style, but I never got around to actually picking up an album. I'll check this one out.

Sad Enough I'm into some of the tracks on this album. I went as bad as remixing one tune very bored one day.

Kanye West is certainly a lot better than some of the shit out there now.
He still can't sing, though.

Random observation about hip-hop in general:
It's all coming down to synths recently. Allll of the popular stuff anyway. Which I don't mind, honestly, but at the same time I miss the sampling that went on before.
You'll hear it every once in a while - that Live Your Life song with TI and Rihanna, for example. But even then, most of that song is synth-based.
What I like about Kanye is that he does both sampling and the synth stuff, and he does both well.

i read kanye west say something like "I will go down of the voice of this generation for this decade."
i think that is quite a foolish assertation to make, and i would rather not be represented by him as my voice. i can't stand it when someone considers themselves a genius just because of their marketability. kanye is not a very good singer and does not rap well either.
