Even if people suck at making music(including me), its just an expression of the thoughts in your mind, some people just wanna make music for the fun of it, so what if they suck, i like to make music and most people just love to do it.
This didn't make any sence, i'll explain it later, i just snorted so much cocaine, i wanna get life of brian on you
Makes perfect sense to me. Snares is just a grumpy fucker whose ego seems to be getting way to big. People should make music cause they love it not because they're good at it. After all how else are you going to learn anything about making music if you don't try? Seen Snares do his grumpy superstar DJ thing to often now and it's fucking boring. If he don't like touring then he should stay at fucking home.

his music is rather good though.
New album is awesome. Lots of prettiness, and little breakcore sprinkled throughout.

The new album is amazing as far as I'm concerned. A total of 14 tracks in which only 4 have drums on em. If you are an open minded music lover then you'd probably love this. I can draw a comparision to Rossz. It's classical instruments involved but that's about it! On Rossz, every song seemed like it had it's own atmosphere but in My Downfall it feels more like the whole album is an unit or concept if you will. Great arangements and melodies! Just fucking greatly stunning! Like in most advanced music you'll have to listen to it so it grows and then eventually you'll end up loving it.
I never got the feeling that he was arrogant based on the dvd. I got more the feeling that he was fucked up on something. What ever to me, if he is a dick or not. He makes some or probably the best music I've ever heard. If he keeps doing that, he can be as arrogant as he wants as long as it doesn't effect the music. I don't know the guy, I know the music he makes.

Vsnares is probably my favorite electronic artist. I see his arrogance necessary in order to do what he does. think about it, with everything he releases, he revolutionizes breakcore to a certain degree. his last album shows that he understands advanced 20th century harmonic ideas. i dont think you can say that about any other breakcore artist. my only qualm with my downfall is that the orchestral samples are terrible, i mean come on, he can definitely afford vienna strings or something of equal caliber.
having seen the documentary, i dont think he really comes off as a dick either. it seems as if the camera crew were more excited about the popularity of breakcore rather than the musical ideas behind it. he probably was slightly annoyed that they were throwing around the term "breakcore" to define his music, when it clearly transcends what most people think of breakcore as.
i will always be a fan of his music, even if he does come across as a dick. his music speaks way louder than his words, and to me, what he has accomplished as an artist overshadows any personality flaws that he may have.

one thing i respect about mr funk is that he makes music for himself, not to pander to anyone else.

I have utmost respect for Venetian Snares in this regard, he makes his music for the music. He doesn't only make one type of music, he has multiple genres. Of coarse they all fall under the electronic genre to some degree. He is a godly tracker and an inspiring artist so that is why I respect him.
