i think this is the first venetian snares dance album.
I don't find this much of a 'listening' album, nearly all of these tracks lack depth. great to dance to in a club tho, which was the point.
miss balaton is the winner .... fucking awesome - it's like a review of everything he's ever made in one track.

I've generally found this with most Venetian Snares tracks, other than his classical stuff. There's always some stand out tracks on his albums but with a lot of fillers. From what I've heard of this album though, it seems his sound has grown for the better. Instead of tracks just lacking substance, they seem to be created with a more danceable quality in mind and so are simpler in essence. I might actually have to buy the album to find out though.

yeah it's a consistent sound, a proper album, rather than just a bunch of finished tracks. And there isn't anything you could consider 'filler' on there either too, which yeah... a lot of his other albums have.
but strangely, it's the first album of his that I've bought and not really listened to much.

listened to much.
It Is Has Improved In Lack Of Filler But There Are Definitely Two If Not Three Filler Tracks I Can Think Of.
Definitely That One With The "This Jam Is Amplified" Sample.
Still Good Album Though.

just got it on vinyl in america. pretty sick throwback vsnares shit. im not a big vsnares fanboy anymore, but detrimentalist and pink + green are pretty bangin. im still more into his old shit that no one listens to, like shitfuckers and making orange things. that shit will put hair on your chest.

I think its the best thing he's put out for a while but like above, I prefer the older stuff. I think Higgins and the stuff on hymen is his best.
