drumcorps is sikk, most brutal shit i know. i heard ladyscraper is more brutal than him, but for me that's not true. maybe he has less structure, harsher breaks and more bpm, but drumcorps has hatred, anger and aggression. and metal-samples, i guess that's it ;)

anyway, i love "grist" but his new stuff with animosity was a disappointment

Ladyscraper is far more brutal. Faster, but more importantly, lots more bass! And he totally has metal samples, AND he does it better IMO (or harder anyway). Check the Blood & Semen EP, it's nothing but metal/grind-sampled tracks.

And his synth-driven shit is badass as well, I've taken some major inspiration from "Hooke" and "Stick" off "The Death Of Mary Poppins" for sure.

So all-around, Ladyscraper>Drumcorps. Not to say I don't love what Aaron's doing (if we get into Aaron Spectre vs Ladyscraper, that might have a different outcome)... but as for Drumcorps, I just prefer the Lady any day. :)

And the Animosity EP is fucking sick, I think. I prefer it over anything on Grist, to be honest.

well i only got "the death of mary poppins" and it doesnt make me as angry as "grist" ... but that's really a matter of taste.

Check Blood & Semen. You won't be disappointed. ;)

The Death Of Mary Poppins isn't nearly as angry.

Aw man sydney? I'd love to see drumcorps live cause I got "Grist", it's good/meh, Down being the best song on it and the only one i ever wanna listen to in my opinion. I'd say he's fuckin nuts live, the same way death metal gigs are.

(Reminisses about Deicide, Dublin 2003)

Aaron Spectre really has a "rock'n'roll" feeling in his tracks and livesets.
Great performer, his tracks are well made too (peaceful only when they need to).
OK, they're not as violent as Ladyscraper's but he surely can bring madness in the crowd.

But i agree about Ladyscraper's better rhythm skills.

as a virtuoso audience member, i suggest to all you entertainers that you follow michael jacksons example and get set on fire when no one expects it if you wanna be truly brutal. its all about the surprise.
